Nell Pittman (b. 1999, Brooklyn, NY) is a fine art photographer based out of Rochester, NY. Pittman makes work in direct correlation with her life experiences. After her father’s death, she and her family would leave their home for months at a time as a means of escaping their situation, and she now makes landscapes and self portraits that communicate with that narrative. She is currently an MFA candidate at the Rochester Institute of Technology, expected to graduate in 2023. Pittman got her BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2021 and studied at the International Center of Photography on a full scholarship from 2014-2017. She has been a part of group shows and exhibitions at galleries including the Museum at FIT, The Living Gallery Outpost, and ICP.
